"WIRED" PS3 mic's

Don't even mention wireless. If I even hear bluetooth, wireless or related, a baby somewhere will die. It will be your fault. So anyway I'm shopping for a headset with a mic for my PS3. I think plug and play will work. But after so much searching it doesn't seem anyone online really knows. So I am gonna ask if anyone here does know. Even if its a no, a suggestion of a type of headset to look into.

Anyway, I am looking for stereo plug and play headsets, preferably the kinds with the ear muffs. Even better would be something labeled for use with PS3, but it seems non existent.

ive got a pair of turtle beach X1's for my 360 but these: http://www.turtlebeach.com/products/efp21/home.aspx are reviewed to be a pretty good headset. Its worth the 80 bucks IMO

Ya looks like I was beat to the punch...I'm picking up the P21's in a month or so, but till then I use a 25$ pair of CyberAcoustic muff style headphones...you should be able to find them in the electronics area of your local Wal-mart or whatever....I've used Logitech also...I just wish the P21 was wireless like the Turtle Beach set...I have the PS3 Bluetooth headset which I think was one of the worst products invented for the system...it seems to only last around 4 hours and is way uncomfortable after about 1 hour not to mention how hard it is to understand what 1 person is saying let alone 2-3 at once in only one ear....so, not much of a choice but P21 is the best from what I have read....

the thing is i have my video and audio coming thru the HDMI cable on my tv. the connections for the headset go thru the red and white a/v cables. Not too sure if i can have the video go thru the HDMI and the sound thru the a/v wires.......

yeah you can - in your audio settings you can choose to have a dual output for audio...meaning HDMI and A/v at the same time..I have this in my room so the tv is HDMI and my decadent Surround system is on the A/V, but all of the headsets I was mentioning are USB compatable so your audio settings won't affect the headset....

Sorry just realized you may be talking about Turtle Beach headset for xbox...ya you have to be able plug in the A/v for it since it is X-box style which obviously means (behind the times)...I have that set but you can only listen with it on PS3 as it has no controller link up for PS3 as it does with XBOX....but their P21 is the best deal your gonna find unless you wanna start spending upwards of 200...the 25$ sets for the computer work just as well, the only difference from P21 is that they only let you hear your team talking like with the Blue-tooth...P21 lets you hear who is talking and the game on headset at the same time in full surround sound...

hey thanks so much so far. My friend can get me a real good deal on the Tritton AxPro's, but I would still have to pay $150 + tax. Normally they are $220, and they would work with my 360 as well as being true 5.1 surround. It's an awesome deal but maybe too expensive. I'll see if i can find the P21's, thanks a lot.

Well if you want some fair priced headphones,don't have much cash to spare for, that's if you can find a gamestop, target, or probably walmart. You can find some, which are $25 used or $30 new for wired playstation 3 ones,which isn't too bad for the price.

I had a BT one in beta and it worked 50% of the time i got the official PS# headset for xmas so hopefully that works

I have a pair of Tritton AX 720's I got them from Best Buy, they work with 360 and PS3 and sound really good.

I saw a wired mic at amazon .com and its only 15 $ .
