BC2 Op 5/22 - 7:30 CST

This is an Op for Battlefield: Bad Company 2 on Saturday at 7:30 CST/8:30 EST.

Depending on however many people we get we will play Squad Rush most of the time because it forces the whole squad to work together more and will help us with getting used to each others playing style.
If we get two squads we will just play a private match.

This being the first official BC2 op, I ask that everyone with the game try to make it. In order to make this division grow we need all of us to be as active as we possibly can. Also this is not going to be as serious as ops in the future will be, we need to all get used to each other this first time.

If we do get two squads, Gutairest has already asked to lead the Second squad so he will be doing that if we do get enough people. And I would also like everyone that can to be in the chatbox during the game.

For this first time I will not have any punishment for No-show but that doesn't mean you shouldn't take this seriously. If you are unsure you can make it I will sign you up as an Alt.

No clue, I submitted a complaint and im waiting for a response. Doesn't look like its just me either...

When I play with Nick, it just drops him, but everyone else on the team is still in the game. Maybe your internet is glitching out or your bandwidth is overloading? The 2nd one is the only time I get dropped from games.

And I'm definitely game. I mostly play an Engineer, but try out the other classes every now and then.

I will try to make it along (your starting at 07:30 on Sunday morning for me and I have a golf tournament on Saturday, so may be a little hungover to be getting up at 06:45 seeing as you want people on before hand), but I will set my alarm. Also, never played BC2 with MoV people so not sure what my connection is going to do, if its like MAG will be fine, if its like MW2 will probably lag all over the place. Last but not least, I suck at this game and have not idea what the hell I am doing, so whoever gets stuck with me in their squad is going to have their work cut out holding my hand, for which I apologize profusely in advance!

I might be a little late if (a) I am up in time at all and (b) they decide to hold an officers meeting on Saturday night at 20:30 EST (but that could apply for several of us here) unless we can make the meeting a little earlier or the op a little later?

Cheers for some good gaming this weekend guys. Was a bit of a struggle to get 8 on and didn't get many rounds in, but thoroughly enjoyed the rounds that we did. Had a great time later on though playing with GiggIes and Tac till they dropped off then Cass for a few hours more, thanks guys, helped my points, rank and general gameplay a lot.

What I learned that I didn't know:

Double tap X to open your parachute (many time before have I jumped from a chopper only to look up and see everyone but me floating safely to Earth under a cloud of silk - no more!

Press the select button to 'spot' enemy personnel and vehicles (racked up a good 1,000 points one game just doing that).

That the knife is slow and should only be used to knife the unsuspecting. Never try knifing someone face on when he has a shotgun aimed at your chest...

That helicopter + cass at controls + needs on mini gun = many dead enemies!

Cheers guys, probably won't be making any ops this coming weekend as think I am out of town but look forward to the next BC2 op I can make it to!

I would like to thank everyone who showed up, and I would also like to thank Gutairest for all of his help. I'm glad you all had fun and I'm glad we were able to help needswall get some points.

We had 2 main problems during the op. One was that we had a lot of connection issues which isn't our fault and I hope maybe EA can update their servers or something. The Second problem was getting 8 people. The bad thing is that if we get 5-7 people it is really hard to get going, so I ask that everyone that signs up makes it. I will probably have a system similar to Brashins for the MAG ops for the people who do not show.

Other than those two problems the op was a success and would once again like to that everyone for their participation. In the future ops will work on practicing something whether it be tactics or whatever, but since this was the first one we just played to have fun and get used to it. That should be all, thanks for coming!
