Not sure who the biggest underdog odds wise is, but any team in Group G which is 2010's 'group of death' is gonna have a hard time just getting past the group phase. Brazil and Portugal I would say are the odds on favorites to advance, but Cote d'Ivoire and Korea DPR are no push overs. Ivory Coast have some of the top Premiership players in their squad. As for Spain winning, I would have said in with a good chance until Fabregas broke his leg and what with Fernando Torres not getting any good play time at the moment as Liverpool seem to be self destructing!

Fabregas isn't much of a loss to Spain, he's usually on the bench (Xavi, iniesta and Xabi Alonso)
I would say they are still favourites, with Villa and Torres looking lethal at the moment, even with the Liverpool self-destruction (which I'm loving)

As a Fulham fan, would love to see Zamora getting in, and he's getting the plaudits he deserves and is miles better than Heskey and now has European experience whilst still scoring against top teams and world class defenders, knocking out the previous Europa champions Shakthar Donetsk, then the Old Lady of Italian football Juventus and now the Bundesliga Champions. If he's not on the plane to South Africa on the form he's on and brings Heskey, Capello must be blind / deaf

I have never understood why Heskey gets into the team. I know a lot of people rate him, but I think he is just a clumsy oaf. Would agree that Zamora is looking good and have heard he might be going. Know what you mean about loving Liverpool in tatters, I support Everton so obviously am all for it. Would be excellent to finish above them this season, although I think that may be too much to ask (just enough games left for it to happen, but don't think Liverpool will lose enough of what is left and doubt Everton can take 3 points from each of the 5 left).

Honestly I actually like American Football, was an Oilers fan when I lived in Houston in the late 80's / early 90's (although I was just a kid, still the only team I properly supported and went to games). Technically I guess I would now be a Texans fan... Much prefer College Football though, just a faster paced game and not so technical or professional. See them take some risks and mess some things up so always exciting I think.

This really got me hyped up for the World Cup in just a month!
Think that South Africa chose a fantastic song and the vid along with it shows just how uniting football can be!
Cliche or not I think if anyone has any doubts as to how great this competition will be, they should look at this video. Pure magic.

I personally think Ivory Coast could be the surprise African nation. Emmanuel Eboué, Kolo Touré, Marc Zoro, Yaya Touré, Salomon Kalou and of course the Premiership golden boot winner Didier Drogba.

Ivory Coast do have a quality lineup but Nigeria's team of Yakubu, Martins, Obinna, Mikel, Taye Taiwo and Odiah (Im managing them on FM 2010)probably rivals the England team at the very least IMO
