They are two different games. MAG is more for the masses and will be easier to get into. OFDR 2 is more of a military SIM and takes more patience and teamwork, with the emphasis on patience and teamwork. If you want to run and gun John Rambo style you can DEFINITELY forget about this game. So therefore I disagree with you saying MAG will be better.

in MAG u need teamwork, unlike most games, cause in MAg, when u go against an enemy, your sqaud goes against not only him, but HIS squad, u need teamwork, and teh mpas are big, you'lll need paitence. so there alike from what u described.

Again it is totally obvious you have not played Operation Flashpoint on the original XBOX. Like I stated before, MAG for all its size and innovation is still an arcade style shooter for the masses, and you can still run and gun, or be a lone wolf if you choose. OFDR is closer to a military SIM. You WILL NOT get far as a run and gunner. You WILL BE FORCED to have patience and work as a team unless you like dying repeatedly. They are two different styles of shooter.

i would never even touch a box so f-ed up as an xbox....

and in MAG, u get so much more points and abilities if you stay with your team so the game tells you to work as a team, so im guessing they are alike....

Mag is more of a Run an Gun tactical shooter (well its not really a tactical shooter its more like battlefield 2 for pc

Operation flashpoint 1 Was WAYYYYY different then Ofp 2 the people who made operation arma 2 made operation flashpoint 1.

Codemasters is making Operation flashpoint 2. Codemasters is trying to make this game More of a Fun Simulation game Neutral

I downloaded the arma 2 demo, could barely run it. Most likely this will be the same story. So if a do intend to get this game it will be on ps3.

P.S: OFP 1 and 2 are developed by two diff companies, if im not mistaken. I might be wrong but i recall reading it somewhere... i think it was ArmA wiki.

most games that are released simultaneously on pc and consoles, PC has the better version. But sometimes thats not the case (GTA 4)
